Why join the Borrill Lab?

Post-doctoral research

If you are looking to join the lab as as a post-doc please send an email to me (philippa.borrill@jic.ac.uk) with your CV and a cover letter describing your past and future research, career goals, what you hope to get out of the Borrill Lab and what you would bring to the group. Experience in bioinformatics and genomics is desirable.

PhD studentships

I would be happy to discuss potential PhD projects with students. Applications from home and international students who have obtained or seek to obtain their own funding source are welcome. In addition, a BBSRC funded PhD position may be available through the NRP doctoral training scheme in association with the institutions across the Norwich Research Park. Applications for this scheme are due every November.

Masters and undergraduate projects

The Borrill lab offers projects to Masters and BSc students. Please take a look at our lab philosophy and get in touch (philippa.borrill@jic.ac.uk) if you are interested in carrying out your research project in the lab.

Visiting studentships

If you are a student looking to visit a lab for 3 to 12 months to fulfil the requirements of an undergraduate or master’s thesis or as part of Erasmus+ please email me (philippa.borrill@jic.ac.uk) your CV and a brief statement about your research/career goals.
